Drug & Alcohol Evaluation

The first step in accessing treatment and recovery is an assessment by a Substance Use Disorder Professional.

Substance use disorders are medical conditions that affect brain function and behavior, similar to other diseases. They cause a dependence on substances like drugs, alcohol, or medications, leading individuals to continue using them even when it causes harm. Because each substance affects people differently, there is no one-size-fits-all way to predict who may develop an addiction.

Clinicians perform assessments for several important reasons. Primarily, they determine whether someone meets the criteria for a substance use disorder and assess its severity. Additionally, assessments help identify any co-occurring mental health conditions, other substances being used, and the impact of substance use on daily life. All information gathered during the evaluation is kept confidential and used to create a tailored treatment plan to support the individual's recovery.

DWI Assessment

After a DWI or DUI arrest, a professional substance use assessment by a licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) is a critical first step in addressing both legal obligations and recovery needs.

Substance use disorders are medical conditions that affect judgment and behavior, sometimes leading to serious legal consequences. Risk varies from person to person and is influenced by factors such as stress, environment, biology, and substance exposure.

A clinical assessment determines whether a substance use disorder is present, identifies its severity, and evaluates contributing factors such as co-occurring mental health conditions and the impact of substance use on daily life. From a legal perspective, a timely assessment supports court and probation compliance, attorney coordination, and eligibility for diversion or reinstatement options. All information is confidential and used to create an individualized treatment recommendation that aligns clinical care with legal requirements—helping clients move forward with clarity and accountability.

Intensive Outpatient
&
Outpatient Programs

An intensive outpatient program can be the first line of treatment for a moderate or severe substance use disorder, a step up from a less structured outpatient program when needed, or a step down from a residential program after a certain amount of progress is made. This helps to form a seamless continuum of care. Our Intensive Outpatient Program includes a minimum of (3) 2-hour group therapy sessions per week for the initial 90 days of treatment accompanied by a 60 minute individual therapy session at a minimum of once per month.

Our Outpatient Programs are fully customizable to meet your treatment needs. We offer a variety of in person and virtual groups to meet anyones scheduling needs.

Individual Counseling

Individual counseling is a core service at our agency designed to support individuals experiencing substance use disorders and related challenges. In a confidential, one-on-one setting, clients work with a licensed professional to address the underlying factors contributing to substance use, including stress, trauma, mental health concerns, and behavioral patterns.

Counseling helps clients build practical coping skills, improve decision-making, and reduce the risk of relapse while supporting accountability and stability. When applicable, services can also support court, probation, or employer requirements.

Each client receives an individualized treatment plan based on a comprehensive assessment. This personalized approach ensures care is appropriate, effective, and responsive to progress and changing needs—supporting meaningful, long-term recovery outcomes.

Family Reviewing Blueprint

Family Counseling

Substance use disorders affect not only the individual, but the entire family system. For this reason, our agency incorporates family counseling as a key component of a client’s treatment program whenever appropriate. Family sessions provide a structured, therapeutic space for loved ones to better understand addiction, its impact on relationships, and the recovery process.

Through family counseling, clients and their families work with a licensed professional to address communication breakdowns, rebuild trust, establish healthy boundaries, and reduce enabling or codependent patterns. These sessions help families move from crisis response to informed support, creating a stronger foundation for recovery at home.

Family involvement enhances individual treatment by reinforcing coping skills, improving accountability, and increasing long-term recovery success. When integrated into an individualized treatment plan, family sessions promote healing for the entire household—not just the client—resulting in improved stability, stronger relationships, and more sustainable recovery outcomes.

Working

Alcohol & Drug Information School

Alcohol and Drug Informational School (ADIS) offers a comprehensive educational program for individuals of all ages seeking information on alcohol and drug abuse. Typically, referrals to ADIS come after an evaluation by a licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, confirming that the individual does not have an active substance use disorder. The experienced professionals at ADIS are confident that informed education is key to fostering responsible decision-making regarding substance use.

The program comprises an eight-hour course that can be conducted in various settings. The curriculum covers a wide range of topics, including effective decision-making, the effects of alcohol and other drugs, and the associated legal and traffic safety implications. Participants receive in-depth information about the risks, consequences, and alternatives related to substance use. Structured around a detailed workbook, the course is specifically designed to help individuals modify high-risk behaviors.
